Blueprints!

OUR BLUEPRINTS ARE IN! Thats a whole week early! I can't even describe how happy I am that they are here! Our SR emailed us earlier today and said that our pre-construction meeting will be on Thursday :)

Now I need to really get on making a list of questions to ask our PM...Any suggestions?

  1. That is interesting. I just asked our SR if we would get a copy of the blueprints (I want them so I can have all of the dimensions for furniture planning reasons) and she said we can't have them for copyright reasons. I thought that sounded a little fishy.

    1. I got a copies of the general blueprints that show the top down dimensions. They are much more detailed than the general model schematics but I would not see the builders referencing them as they put the home together. Maybe you could ask just for a copy of the mid level "blueprint" to at least get the dimensions which they should be able to give you.

  2. Congratulations! I love staring at the blueprints we received at the purchase agreement date with the SR. We have the layout for the lot, the elevation copy and lastly the basement. I look forward to the real thang!!

  3. We did not receive a copy of the blueprints and were told we would not. We were able to look at them during the pre-construction meeting and then they were strewn all over the kitchen during construction.

  4. Sorry for the confusion. We do not have a copy of our blueprints. Our PM has just received them from Ryan so we can have our pre-construction meeting now to go over them!

  6. i believe they have to submit a copy of the blueprints to the county as a matter of record. And those should be public record and available to you. They wont be the builders blueprints. Those, im sure, are proprietary.
